Our Guiding Principles & Values

LANS is founded on the principles of the best interests and rights of the child as enshrined in the Kenya’s Children’s Act, 2001. Further to this, our principles are as follows:

  • Family: We believe that the needs of children are better met in a family rather than in an institution.
  • Empathy: We believe in empathy that compels action towards child welfare, as opposed to passive sympathy that treats symptoms without addressing root causes.
  • Trust: We believe that children should be raised in a climate of trust that imbues in them trust not just for family but also for the Almighty God as their Heavenly Father.
  • Integrity: We believe that all our operations should be above Board and undertaken with full integrity.
