| What is the difference between adoptions and foster? |

Adoptions are permanent and can only be legally conducted through a registered Adoption Society and finalized by the High Court making it irrevocable. The child has all rights and privileges as those of a Biological child born into the family. Foster is temporary care for a specific period to afford the child a place of safely. The child can be withdrawn by the State. Foster placement is done through the Children’s Department. |
